The FINANCIAL -- Wizz Air on February 13 announced a new route from Olsztyn-Mazury Airport to Dortmund.

The newest WIZZ service will commence on 14 May and operate with two weekly flights, on Mondays and Fridays. Seats on the new route are on sale and can be booked on wizzair.com or via the WIZZ mobile app with fares starting from as low as PLN 59 / EUR 14,99.

Along with Olsztyn-Mazury, Wizz Air offers flights from seven other Polish airports: Warsaw, Katowice, Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw, Lublin and Szczecin. In 2017, 8.1 million passengers travelled with WIZZ on its low-fare Polish routes, 17% growth year on year. Following its already announced massive expansion for 2018, Wizz Air will have 25 aircraft and 1000 customer-oriented crew based in Poland by the end of the year.

With its newest Olsztyn-Mazury route, Wizz Air now offers 165 low-fare routes to 30 countries from its eight Polish airports.

Gabor Vasarhelyi, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, said: “We are excited to announce a long-awaited German route from Olsztyn-Mazury Airport. We are sure that our new Dortmund service will be popular among local Polish business and leisure travellers, who have now direct access to the commercial and cultural centre of the eastern Ruhr area. Our low fares will also attract more German visitors to Masuria stimulating job creation in tourism and hospitality industries. Our newest route will be operated on Mondays and Fridays providing a convenient schedule for weekend getaways. We remain committed to Masuria and our Polish customers and keep on delivering an excellent value service on each WIZZ flight.”
